Wendy Bauer leads 3M’s Transportation and Electronics Business Group, which partners closely with customers across a range of industries, including automotive, electronics, aerospace and defense, and transportation infrastructure, to develop innovative solutions to drive customers’ growth in advanced, high-tech industries. Since joining 3M in mid-2024, she has led a transformation of the business towards a vertical and customer-centric innovation and commercial model, consistently driving the business to positive growth.

Prior to joining 3M, Wendy served as Vice President and General Manager, Automotive Manufacturing at Amazon Web Services (AWS), where she led the development and execution of AWS’s business, technology, partnering and go-to-market strategy for the global automotive and manufacturing organization. In this capacity, she focused on enabling companies across the global manufacturing sector, including automotive, aerospace, industrial, electronics, agriculture, chemical, and consumer goods to transform businesses and maximize value-creation by leveraging cloud technologies, tools and training. Wendy also led Worldwide Manufacturing Resources Industry Business Strategy and was GM, U.S. Industry, at Microsoft prior to joining AWS.

Before moving to the Technology sector in 2016, Wendy spent more than 20 years in a variety of positions across the global automotive industry, including both automotive OEM and Tier-1 supplier companies (Aptiv/Delphi, Eaton Corporation, DENSO and General Motors). Her global leadership experiences spanned Sales, Product Strategy, Business Development, Engineering, Purchasing Quality and more.
