Purpose of meeting: Uncertainty and chaos seem to be normal these days.  This is a non-recorded, open dialogue to navigate resilience, adaptability, and a positive mindset.  This will enable the attendees to gain insights from others, have a respectful discussion providing a safe place to come together and share ideas, topics of interests and build connections.

This month's facilitator: Maya Makhlouf, High Voltage Battery Systems Engineer at Ford Motor Company, and an AWAF Board Member

Maya Makhlouf is a High Voltage Battery Systems Engineer at Ford Motor Company, where she leads technical development and testing for high-voltage battery systems. Over her career at Ford, she has moved fluidly across some of the industry's most demanding technical spaces, from crash safety leadership on next-generation battery electric vehicles to ADAS validation, body structures design, and vehicle launch execution. She holds a Master of Science in Automotive Engineering and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, both from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Alongside her engineering work, Maya is a dedicated champion for women in STEM, serving as a Board Member and STEM Co-Chair for the Automotive Women's Alliance Foundation and previously as STEM Chair for the Society of Women Engineers at Ford, helping open doors for the next generation of women engineers. Her journey from mechanical engineering student to multi-disciplinary technical leader makes her a powerful example of what's possible for women charting their own path in engineering.
