Laura Wontrop Klauser was born and raised near Baltimore, Maryland. She received her Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Laura started working at General Motors as a summer co-op student then started full time in 2008 after graduation from RPI. She’s held various positions on different platforms including advanced design on the Corvette C7, releasing suspension parts for the Cadillac CT6, and noise and vibration on the Chevrolet Cruze, Buick Encore, and Chevrolet Spark. Currently she is the Sports Car Racing Program Manager overseeing the Corvette C8.R, Cadillac DPi-V.R, and Camaro GT4.R cars that race globally.

Laura is also heavily involved with SAE. Her participation started as a student in Formula SAE. She remains an active member and volunteer for the FSAE program holding the roll of Dynamic Events Coordinator. She has served on the SAE Detroit Section Board since 2011 holding the Chair position for 2018.

Cancellation Policy
Cancellations for events will be accepted until 5pm March 21, 2022.  Cancellations received by this date will be refunded in full.  Refunds cannot be issued for cancellations received after this date; however, substitutions for another person to attend in your place are gladly accepted.
